Holy crap this Hockey off-season draft stuff is insane to try and keep up with. Not even sure how to feel right now except sad Huntington and Snively are gone

Hershey starting to come together now. Osipov played a lot of games before Hershey so I like keeping him even if he is a 4/5 LD option. He seems well liked in the room as well. Sad to see Huntington go but Center is a tough path in WAS right now for a guy like that so not surprised. Same with Snively. Have to check out new guys.

Sutter and HHA signed to one year deals. Only RFA left is Limoges. I’d hope they would add another LHD and some depth pieces and call it a day
Maybe they sign some of their '21 d-man draft picks (Brent Johnson and Joaquim Lemay) and give them an opportunity at Hershey.

I think that time may have run out on Lucas Johansen. With Malenstyn's departure that just leaves Priskie from the 2016 draft class.

That’s a possibility. I would take LuJo back if they don’t add any other vets. He hit vet status last season so that hinders him a bit. He’s still a very good player at the AHL level. I’m fully expecting him to move on though. I’m assuming he wants a fresh start elsewhere

Roe is the last veteran spot. He can play 3C full time and Rybinski could slide to wing. Roe seems like a great guy to have around the kids coming up through Hershey and he had a great run throughout the playoffs last year. Hershey should be in the conversation for a 3 peat if everything goes well injury wise this year. I will say their division took notice and a lot of those team added pieces and got better. It will be an even harder task this season

The hockey path is a grind and a game of opportunities. That said, Snively (whom I love given my connection to Little Caps) just couldn’t find a path here. I think he had opportunities but just couldn’t get there. Same as AJF, Leason, etc. There will be more to come as well.

It’s why being partners with the Bears is so fruitful (to both sides). They have won 13 championships with 2 sets of b2b with Caps. They get good talent. Talent pushes talent. And only the best make it to the caps. Others can find another path. This is what i was talking about in a previous post where pathing players is good for the culture and brand.
Apart from seeing Lappy and Miro take huge steps in pressure situations - Lappy especially, he seemed to be in on most every "the Bears need a goal here" goals during this run - the other great thing about this year's run was seeing Limo, Snively, and Roe play such important roles, since all 3 started out playing their youth hockey in this area.
