Heritage Classic

Thank you for the reply. Definitely not a flames fan. My username and the fact that I called it Shelbyville should have been self explanatory :P.

Thanks to all that replied.

In terms of the ticket situation, they’re so ridiculously overpriced which is why there are still so many left. $250 for a seat in the back of the upper bowl is crazy stupid.

I splurged just this once, mostly because it was a bucket list item. I doubt I’ll ever go to another one.
haha. I wasn't very observant on the username. I get so used to Calgary being shelbyville I figure everybody refers to it as that.

Enjoy the game. I wanted to go last time but couldn't This one isn't compelling me but we'll see. Would be a possibility because I despise DT Edmonton and I kind of don't like Rogers Place either. I grew up with Rexall and would have still preferred that.

My bucketlist was seeing SC wins in 85 and 87. Nothing today really compares to that.

No Tesla chargers at Century Park as far as I know. Plus is basically a giant construction zone now so much of the parking is gone.
They moved the parking further North, unless this has changed once again.

lol with the vehicle chargers. They do have some at MWTC person I suppose could catch the Valley Line LRT from there that was set to open 3yrs ago that isn't running yet....;)

They say its opening in the FAll. Well its the Fall. Mayve we're Shelbyville.

Yes but took more parking out too. Lots of new construction there as hi rise condos and LRT construction continue there.

I went to the original game. It was so cold and it was Ramadan. My cousin had an extra ticket and traded it to a little kid for his entire box of fundraiser chocolate almonds he was selling outside Commonwealth for IIRC, his minor hockey team.

Fast forward it's time for us to break our fast and the lines for concessions are so long we couldn't get food without missing a big chunk of the game. We all ended up breaking our fast, and pretty much our teeth, on now frozen chocolate almonds.

It was fun night.
lol I wonder what he told his hockey team when they asked where his product went

Gary's playing 5G chess. He's the Trump of the NHL. Creating concern that Connor won't make the heritage classic and then having him miraculously show up at the last minute to generate more buzz.

I’m more interested to see if the NHL rolls back the Rasmus suspension to allow him to play (and take out more players with illegal hits).

Sounds like they are expecting loooong lines and wait times to get in due to security screening.

Doors opening at 3 pm 2 hours before game time.

Was going to get there for about 4 but between the probable 45 minute long wait to enter, the hour long concession line for a shitty Commonwealth burger and 30 minutes to find your seat followed by a 45 minute long bathroom line I’m not sure I’ll actually see any of the game.

That might not be a bad thing.

I went on ticketmaster just now and there's rows and rows of tickets for resale. Here's a small sample of what it looks like... I'm guessing that tickets aren't going to be gobbled up considering i'm getting 2 communications per day from ticketmaster trying to sell tickets to this thing.

Looking at the resale tickets there appears to be lots of “blocks” of tickets. I wonder if resale companies or individuals bought large quantities hoping for resale profits. Either way this won’t be a sell out.

Seems like that wouldn't be an issue due to the freezing temperatures were are getting, no?

The ice gets chippy and fragments easier unlike pristine indoor ice in regulated temps.

Well I can honestly say I didn't see this coming. Didn't think either team would be this awful.

Gonna have to call it the "Toilet Bowl"

Hopefully everyone that bought tickets to this get a good game. I'm cheering for the fans for this one.

Weather looks great. Unfortunately both team suck and this event has once again been priced out of the reach of most people. There is just not enough reason to pay a preMimi price to watch a sub par product from a sub par view knowing there will also be a logistics hassle too.

I was at the first one. The alumni game was awesome to watch. The NHL game was crap. Wish I woulda bounced after the Alumni game was over

I am glad i dint buy tickets when i was thinking to when they went on sale , The NHL is still expecting a sell out tho.
