It’d be one thing if he caught a piece of these, or if they just squeaked by, or it’s the occasional bad goal, but his glove side has been nearly non existent for a few seasons now and giving up bad to inexcusable goals has been somewhat normal. Yeah he had some solid games there for a short stint, most nhl goalies are capable of that. Lyon and Stolarz have proven more in one season than knight has in his whole career. He played like 3 great games super young and won a playoff game and everyone blew their load. I just don’t understand this sunk cost fallacy thing with the kid. It’s not just this game because maybe we don’t score any, but he just hasn’t installed any sort of confidence that he’ll be this proclaimed “goalie of the future”, which I absolutely hate that phrase. It goes for any position but even more so for goalies. I don’t care how high you’re drafted as a goalie, you need to earn it. Show something with consistency to earn the job.
