Hey, just 5-8 years of this and we'll have a dynasty though...maybe.Losing but being competitive is one thing. This is just... horrific.
Another 5-8 years of signing old vets, picking up scraps from waivers, playing a system that doesnt match the roster, and waiving our younger players? Where do i sign up?

Was at the game and gotta say how stark it was how good NJ is compared to the Preds. It felt like they could have won 8-0 if not for some good saves on the multiple breakaways. There is no way Bruno should be back.Another 5-8 years of signing old vets, picking up scraps from waivers, playing a system that doesnt match the roster, and waiving our younger players? We do seem to have a penchant for making rookie goalies look like the second coming of BrodeurAfter a gritty win the Avs last night in which we had only 8 shots in the last 2 periods, we return to normal with a stinker.
Aside from not being able to pick a corner and instead shoot into the goalie, have it blocked or just miss the net entirely, NJ was faster, bigger, and better.
Still sucks getting shut out for I think the 8th time and against their 3rd string goalie.
Hmm, I hope he hasn't actually requested a trade... because then Trotz might do him a solid like McDonagh, and let him pick a spot and take back a low return? Better if he just.... "indicates he won't be mad if Trotz trades him", say. Quietly waives his un-written NMC, but with no explicit request.Watching O'Reilly's interview last night, I'm really hoping he's requested a trade.
The idea of an unwritten NMC and trading him for a lower return when he is our actual top center is rediculous. I understand wanting to help a guy out but our center situation sucks and is way worse without him. Trading him needs to bring back something pretty good. That would leave stamkos, svechkov, novak, sissons, McCarron to compete for center spots. 2 of them are best served as wingers, 1 is a rookie, 1 is a bottom 6 center, and 1 is a 4C/5C. You absolutely need to get the best deal you can.Hmm, I hope he hasn't actually requested a trade... because then Trotz might do him a solid like McDonagh, and let him pick a spot and take back a low return?
