Hellebuyck is on his way to win his 3rd Vezina in 6 years

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Vasilevskiy is still in the race. Might be closer than expected.
Sadly you can’t even bet on Vas to put money where mouth is, the only other option besides helle is some new guy named “the field”

However, if you feel like making a cool 100 bucks on helle winning the Vezina, it will only take a bet of $20,000 dollars!!

Lmfao hes not better than any of the big 4 from the 90's, nor Price, hell not even Quick who i wouldn't call top 10 all time
Hellebuyck is significantly better than Jonathan Quick.
Hellebuyck's worst year is .907. Quick had 4 years where he played more than 20 games and put up a Sv% of less than .900.

Carey Price had a ridiculous peak from 2013-2017, but fell off after that (he was .900 in 49 games in 17-18 while Hellebuyck was .924). Hellebuyck has been over .910 basically his entire career with one exception.

Price's career Sv% is .917 and Hellebuyck is .918. They are definitely comparable.

When Hasek was 31, he had a grand total of 6 playoff wins.
Yes. I see . His 6th season he was 31.Had 6 wins the Sabres. Hellebuyck has 18 after his 6 seasons with the Jets.
Then Hasek ripped off 23 play off wins his next two seasons.

Hellebuyck may go on a run in his 7th too.
Or atleast do better that the 25 plus goals he gave up in 5 games last spring. ha!

He wanted to have a chance to play in the NHL. Your team wouldn't even commit to the appearance that he'd get a chance in the NHL. They were so completely against it.

Pittsburgh said they'd give him a legit shot to play in the NHL, and they kept their word when he made their team to start the season. Seems pretty straight forward.
Oh my god, you are right!
A non PO team at the beginning of a rebuild told a unproven player he will get play on the team while a top 4 team in the NHL told the same player he will have to earn his place on the team.
I'm shocked!
Shocked I, tell you.
How dare the Jets demand a unproven collage player that he will have to EARN his way on the team!
