I think in general hockey makes too much of goaltending performances, but if Helle this year doesn't win it, the Hart just isn't gonna go to goalies in the near future.

Ahhh who am I kidding, if a MTL or Toronto goalie has the exact same season as Helle, he'll win in a landslide.

How many 5v5 goals have the Blues scored on Helle is it 4 or 5 in 3 games?
PPG majority of the time you cannot blame the goalie half the time he is screened and the other time the goal scorer has an empty net to shoot at.

At this time of year, small sample sizes mean everything

A series is at max 7 games. If your goalie shits the bed for those, there isn't a chance to make the sample size meaningful

Vezina trophies are for regular season performance, but in my opinion, to win a Hart trophy, you should be able to perform in the big games, when all is on the line, like playoff games. Helle doesn’t deserve it so far.

The Hart isn’t for the playoffs. There is something called the “Conn Smythe” trophy for the playoffs. You can’t just retroactively give out awards. That is not how it works. If you want I can explain the nuances of the awards for you.

Really doesn’t matter, I wouldn’t vote for him. Someone like McKinnon yes.

I love Hellebuyck, but he's looking like a choker right now. People said the same about Luongo.

I think he deserves game five, but if he loses that one I say give Comrie the start.

I kind of wonder what it'd be like to have a solid back-up ex-starter as his back-up. But Kiprusoff did the same thing with Calgary, but before when the year he took them to the finals he had less games played in the regular season and took them to the finals. You gotta wonder if Hellebuyck is that kind of goaltender.
