Probably hellyubuck just because I hate big contracts for goalies. But shesty being a few years younger definitely makes me question it. What are the features of each contract? Nmc and are either easy to buy out in last seasons?

I mean, Helly is better & cheaper.

Weird poll.
Both great goalies.

I mean, Helly is cheaper sure but Sheshty is best goalie in the world. And he also shows up come playoff time. Helle has been crap lately in post season.

I know all the hipster experts think having good goaltending is a bad thing and they prefer to build teams cup winning teams like the Leafs and Oilers, so of course they’ll take the goalie being paid less. They don’t even like Hellebuyck’s contract. They just like that he’s paid less.

Hellebuyck took a bad deal. He should’ve asked for more. He’s a good goaltender, although not very proven in the postseason. Maybe unfair and he should get a chance to prove that reputation this season. Shestyorkin’s contract is more than fair also. Not as team friendly, but he didn’t take a crazy discount. He took a fair deal.
I don't think its strictly about being a hipster expert lol. Cheaper goaltending and essentially maxing out the amount of cap you put into your skaters has worked for cup winning teams before, and will most likely continue to work.

And having one of the best goaltenders also works. There’s no one way to build a Cup winning team.
