That's the way I'm looking at it

But it's hard for him to shine in a bottom 6 role
But the top6 spots are limited..

Honestly his entire future with the club hinges on his next potential call-up lol

ultimately i think they're gonna move him (Roy) this trade deadline or this offseason/next deadline, that's why i think they might wanna give him another serious look by calling him up

there's probably a big deal to made with him as 1 of the pieces, i think they need a big minute munching/puck moving defensive RD to play with Hutson, that's what the team needs to take a big step forward

Maybe I'm wrong, but because it's a 1 month call-up, I feel they might consider Davidson. I know I've seen enough of Roy (who has good chemistry with Armia both in the AHL&NHL), but certainly is less suited to that line. Beck I Feel is a projectable center asset and doesn't need an audition. Davidson plays bigger than he is (unlike roy) has the same offensive stat line as Beck (.71ppg) and leads the Team in +/- (+12). He earned a look and likely won't be a liability.
 
I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen a call-up yet. Perhaps we will this weekend now that we're back home.

Yeah, it just seems too logical not to.

We've seen the improvements in the team from addressing weak links in RD and backup goaltending. Pezz isn't costing us games in the same way, but at some point we'll need a 13th forward who can rotate in and be trusted to at least take a regular shift on the 4th line when called upon. I also think it would make sense to see what we have with depth player options in Laval (thinking Davidson or Tuch) while we have a roster spot open.
 
Beck

He's Dvo replacement so might as well try him out.

Last year Mailman came up for 2 games, looked good and we got rid of Kovacevic. Turns out a bit premature and it cost us an asset to get a replacement.

This time, let's give the replacement a ten game try out before making any moves.

Bring up Beck as an injury replacement and try out...two problems solved.

Pezzetta hasn't played more than 6 minutes in his 7 games.

f***ing ridiculous they haven't called up anyone.

1 or2 games fine, but 7 games...

There seems always to be an excuse. "Oh well Laine's flu should be over soon and why disrupt Laval?", "Heineman's injury was too last second", "The team is coming back to Montreal anyways", "Laval also just played so the call up will also be tired"...etc
