Post-Game Talk: Heart breaking loss against the Bolts.

Big difference between "It is such an honour" and "It HAS BEEN such an honour". Best case scenario is trading him for a 1st then resigning him to a 3x3 contract.
It sound like someone who's already been traded.
I doubt he's re-signing in Montréal, unless nobody gives him what he's asking as a UFA, but some team will overpay.

This year's Evans no he can't for now. But non career year's Evans yes he can within a timeframe of 2 years. Fans are too easily influenceable by career year.
It’s all a question of timing. Each game, Beck is looking more confident and noticeable. And the coaches are recognizing that and are correctly giving Beck more in game responsibility . In my opinion, Beck has way more offensive potential than Evans. Career year or otherwise.

I think we will trade Evans and give Beck his ice time rest of this season. Keep Dvorak to play out season, since we get nothing for him. Habs can get a good asset for Evans.

Beck isn't what Evans is now, but he will never surpass him if he doesn't get the chance to grow. Seeing as how next season will have more stakes than this one, he should be getting that bump in minutes ASAP, especially with Evans looking like he's out the door. Beck may struggle with the challenge, but he's a winner and I trust he will swim and not sink if he has a good batch of experience this year plus a whole off-season to be ready to contribute to a possible playoff team next year.

When you can skate like Beck, anything is possible. When you can’t, nothing is. Beck’s play at the AHL All-Star game and in those couple of games on the West coast opened some eyes as to this kid’s true potential, which projects to surpass anything that Evans has or will accomplish in the NHL.

As I posted, I would be surprised if Beck is sent down to Laval. While all playing time contributes to any young player’s development, I think Beck’s development will be enhanced playing against superior opposition at the NHL level. He’s certainly not being overwhelmed by the speed and skill he’s faced so far. In recognition of Beck’s skating ability and skill MSL has moved Beck back to center, his natural position. Beck’s ‘emergence’ gives Hughes options, I don’t think he’s going anywhere. The situation is completely different from Mailloux’s who struggled with the pace of the NHL game and was not unsurprisingly replaced by Struble in the line up.

As a team ? Of course. I hope you are not blaming Dobes for that...
Both players of TB were left alone to score. No way Dobes can be held accountable for those............the weird 3rd goal where he lost his balance, yup that was on him, albeit a PP marker.

The thing I don't like about MSL, is he has not pulled Monty, when Monty has been far worse for several of our blowout losses.

Missed his push to the post and ended up in the net, it's on him for sure.. but I would have also taken him out, it's really hard as a young goalie to reel your focus back in when the first two shots you face are almost half way in the first period and are virtual locks for goals against. Never got to really feel the puck.

You have to find a way to get a 1st. And if teams do think 1st round is not that big of a deal...so be it. We'd get the pick....and we either pick or we combine it to get ahead in the draft.

Or better yet, how about stop posting gif's, too many make a thread unreadable and add nothing, scroll, scroll, scroll etc.

Yes absolutely. I like Evans but Beck's potential is definitely higher than the career Evans has so far.
