Well that was ugly.

Samberg has been so good since returning from injury, but that was a nightmare game for him.

rough night for the defensemen tonight, 1 goal off demelo, samberg with a bad pinch then a bad bobble at the line, pionk letting the guy poke the puck into the slot + all the d shots into shin pads made this a bad night, would be nice to get a powerplay when the game is tied for once but some how we don't end up with a single one against the team that takes the 2nd most penalties in the league

That was pretty much the worst game our defence played in a very long time. Almost every goal was caused by our blue liners fanning on the puck or making stupid plays at the blue line.

No kidding Utah has the second most penalties in the league but zero penalties against the #1 PP team.
I don’t think it would have made a difference the bounces we’re going against the Jets.
Samberg probably his worst game this year … no big deal everyone has an often night.

My god that was rough... Pionk and Samberg had their worst games of the season and Ehlers was pretty much the only one to show up. Utah was really good.

I mentioned it a bit in my 1st post but our defensemen really need to do a better job at getting pucks to the net, hard to get a rebound or a tip if shots are being blocked well before they get to the net

D needs to get their shots off quicker and hopefully on net, forwards have to go to the net. Tonight you saw may shots blocked or off target and to say the forwards weren't looking to engage is being kind.

-4th line is incapable of scoring
-perfetti 1 goal in past 24 games, 2 assists in past 12 both in a blow out win vs vancouver
-names our "2c" has 5 points in his past 19 games

were just not going to win with this type of production, it's going to be very predictable what's going to happen, top line will have the scoring dry up a bit, we will continue to get nothing from everybody else, leading to the top line starting to cheat for offense leading to bad habits and lack of confidence

On any given night a team can lose in the NHL. It is how they lose that tells the tale. The Jets weaknesses again were exposed.
Slow start - check
Forced to the outside- check
Blocked shots- check
Scoring in garbage time - check

The coach was even pissed off.
I think he sees the writing on the wall aka not built for playoffs.
