Post-Game Talk: HC 4 - Jets 1

because those chances we got only came because we started playing better... like just because we didn't get the results doesn't mean we didn't get better through out the game..
Too bad we didn't start the game like that like we should have.

What's wrong with saying that chances don't mean dick and results do?
Bottom line is you have to cash in on your chances.
Because results aren’t predictive they are just what happened. If a team generates a lot of chances you believe they will eventually finish a percentage of them. But, if they are getting results and not creating opportunities chances are they more likely to dry up.
The season is long and 9/10 times schief scores on that slot pass in the 2nd. Really, the only time results matter are in make or break situations. Jets are in playoffs no matter what. If they create enough chances and prevent the other time from creating chances they can beat anyone.

The Jets must sign Ehlers, even if they overpay a bit. Without Nik in the lineup, we have no second line. If we want a good season next year, we need to sign Ehlers.

Pionk is another important signing to stay competitive. Vilardi as well, but he may be damaged goods, til we hear what’s wrong with him.

With 3 key players out, losses like this can be expected.

Hope Ehlers/ Pionk are in vs St. Louis.

The first period had some of the worst d-zone puck management from the Jets I have seen all season. Felt like the Jets players thought there was bomb inside the puck.

I feel people take it personally if they have a bad game, like no team goes games 1-82 with out having bad games, we've had far viewer then 99% of the league, it's like people don't understand that any team can beat anyone on each and every night
People understand they are not winning every game.
It is the games they lose that reveal the issues. Do you know yet what the common denominator is in those losses or do you want to keep acting like a hard forecheck and clogging up the middle of the ice is the Jets kryptonite.
2 of 3 teams did it this road trip.
The only saving grace is using injuries as a plausible excuse but then that reveals there is a depth issue. If the blues and stars do the same to the Jets next week I wonder what the general feeling will be?
I hope they just had the vegas flu and that is the issue not the system Utah and LA have used to beat them each more than once this season.

Well i am always optimistic even when the team lost.

And i see these are big holes without
Ehlers
Villardi
Pionk

and its starting to show.

and just to let out my frustration to one of my all time favorite Jets

Connor Hellybuck!!

Helly man you are starting to scare me about the playoffs.

I still believe that you can take this to the promise land but man…..
i Know. i know

this is one of those game that his killer instinct should kick in and put a strangle hold on the rest of the league….

But yeah!!!! Go JETS Go
Bang on. I think if you looked at the two lineups and not the two records you'd probably give the edge to Utah on paper. Forwards and defense. And give them the 1st PP to boot taking out the Jets best PKer. I cringed when I saw Stanley out there.

When it got to the 3rd period and the Jets were struggling to put 5 players out who could produce offense, the top guns and Morrissey couldn't do it on their own. Not from the defecit they created.

Really hope Pionk and Ehlers are back on Monday. Blues are due to lose right?

the la game had nothing to do with a hard forecheck.... we made 3 mistakes in that game, miller missing scheifele with a pass, gus turning the puck over in the neutral zone and stanley trying to skate in on his own... like this was nothing like the la game at all, we played bad and turned the puck over way more in the first period then we did the entire game in la...

Tough loss , would have been great to get the 2 points but lets see how they bounce back at home tomorrow. Missing 2 of our top 6 forwards and our 2nd best defenseman is going to be hard to overcome especially on the road. Hopefully the Jets are pissed off at the lost opportunity and take it out on the Blues by opening a can of this.......

The main concern i have since 4nations is the lack of urgency that shows up for 1-2 periods at a time...the more that seeps into a team the harder it is to turn it on for game 1.

Next game will tell us a lot about who this team is post-4nations

I don't know, we went into the playoffs last year looking good and look what happened.

Has there been any updates on Vilardi, internal or external, since the YWG departure lounge update 10 days ago?
Been wondering about that too? Just hope it’s not old back injuries recurring again. Hard to fix that, with all the nerves, discs, and soft tissue problems that can occur with back injuries. Hopefully it’s not.

Hmmm…
