The Fire Aid Concert was Great.

Some of my favorites (now in their 80s and 70s) showed up to help.

Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Mike Campbel, Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stuart and Earth, Wind and Fire. There were many others.

I thank them.

LF, you’ve always reminded me of Stevie Nicks!

10000% human error. Whether it was the Army aircrew, or the approach controller……or a combination of both, remains to be seen once they pull the tapes.

The only thing that American Airlines crew did remotely wrong was failing to see nearby traffic in the area. Really sad and totally preventable.
Why are any aircraft able to cross an extremely low level landing zone flight path, especially at night?

Just asking for disaster like this.

Air ambulance from Mexico, they said. Thing looked like a missile coming in :help:

What a horrifying situation. Won't be surprised if there are more casualties on the ground

I had to get off of twitter.

I've seen some stuff I don't want to see. I need to bleach my eyes.

How is it still January? I feel like it's been a f***ing year.

Went to the Boston Fleet game tonight and sat on the glass. Those girls can PLAY.

Super fun outing, high level of play, and seeing a bunch of little girls go nuts for women’s hockey was freaking incredible.

Drive home was a bit hairy but, per usual, once we got back inside the 95 belt (aka my comfort zone) snow turned to rain and all was well.

Worth a trip for all hockey fans.

I don’t have a good answer for you, TBH. I DO know that there is a lot of military traffic going through that corridor in and out of DC, but why they’re cleared through the final approach corridor to Reagan National, escapes me.

I will say that the runway that AA jet was using was a backup runway, and not one of the primary runways in and out. That MAY have something to do with the collision.

My gut tells me that that army crew were distracted by something on board their aircraft and normal lookout procedures were interrupted. No way that collision should have happened during normal flight.
