It is going to be in the low 70's today and then be 39 and rainy tomorrow with snow out west. We then go back up into the 60's and 70's.

It looks like this is going to be winter's last hurrah here based on what the data is showing our local meteorologists.

time to dust off my jersey to show my redmen pride

I saw Tewksbury play in the old Garden in the early 90's. I didn't go to an MIAA school(I attended St. Mark's in Southborough), but I follow the state tourney closely and have attended a lot of games in the past.

So I guess we can't talk about SpaceX explosion? Pretty soon everything is going to be political. Don't Look Up!

The wind is a-whippin' here in Newton.
Wind took off my storm door last night. To be honest, I'm thankful, that door was annoying as hell and useless since we have an unheated enclosed landing and a second inside door. All it did was try to rip away from you or try to slam shut on you, depending on the wind. I decided to take it to the dump today and the wife is already happy to see it gone.

Lately the algorithms have been feeding me videos from different zoos and wildlife centers.

I had no idea what a tapir was until I saw this, but isn't it cute?? The snoot.... the eyes, the ears.... they aren't as cute when they get older though lol

Geez….she died a week before he did. He had alzheimer.

Having lost my grandmother and mother to Alzheimers, I can say it is one of the most cruel diseases you could think of. All of the physical ailments it causes are bad enough on their own but then you add the mental component and losing the essence of yourself is just terrifying. I spent a whole year mostly in relief knowing that my mom was no longer suffering, and then the reality of grief set in and this last year kicked my butt.

Anyway.... that whole story about Hackman is just sad.

It's very sad thing to happen to him and his family!. Very sad!
I do remember meeting while working on Enemy of the State, he was a very nice guy, told him how much I appreciated his work over the years! He was very thankful!. Never will forget him!

The wind is a-whippin' here in Newton.
Our wind was so bad earlier this week (60+ mph gusts) that my couch shook. It was blowing straight at my building and there is nothing to block the wind. I thought I was going to be sleeping in my closet on the aerobed b/c my bed is close to the window in my room. I've been in blizzards and tropical storms and have never experienced wind like this before. Not a fan.

On my search for clothing I recently discovered I like stuff by Hollister however again everything is so expensive.

Not sure what Im looking for. Went to the streetwear store here and it was all overpriced brands I never heard of

Maybe its all a regional and culture thing too. Difference between west coast and southern styles

Thank God for good medical insurance. Especially as a retiree.

My most recent surgery - $31, 324.00

My cost - $219.50

I'm just shy of 50 and decided to ramp down the self employment route I took for about 15 years in 2020 to take a job with very good medical insurance, shortly aferwards a lingering knee issue decided to go all in and I had to get a partial medial meniscectomy, I paid $0 for the sugery and two months of rehab 2-3 days a week aftarwards.......BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!

I guess my good knee got jealous because last month I suffered the exact same injury to my other knee playing beer league hockey......I'm going in for arthroscopic surgery in a couple weeks, I do not regret for a second taking this job because the health insurance I had when I was self employed would have had a much larger hit to my wallet for both these surgeries.....BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!

My wife had a MAJOR surgery last fall, cost us NOTHING outside of what comes out of my paycheck.

got a 2025 bmw loaner while mine gets a recall taken care of and boy does it give the tesla a run for its money with the gadgets.

Cheap. My radical neck dissection was $80000.
My mother had serious terminal health issues for a bit over a decade before she had passed, she had EOB's in the millions, if she had not been retired from a federal government job with an excellent benefits package there is no doubt she would have passed away years earlier and lost everything financially in the process.
