I haven't watched him on a consistent basis correct. But he was always touted as a defense first defenseman, so the fact that you're saying his lack of points is why he's struggling is actually hilarious.

I love how all u Canes fans are like a family. Always liking each other's posts and defending each other. A red flag to me would be being scratched in a u20 tourny. And yes i am done defending Lehks, im still here defending my past points.

If Fleury was an Rhd, I could def see a trade revolving around Kapanen for Fleury being discussed by both sides. Just doesn't make sense atm with Rielly/Gardiner/Dermott at LHD

You could retain 50% on price and add Galchenyuk and that would still be a no.

The Canes can find and overpay for a suitable #1G. The Canes can find and overpay for a suitable #1C.

You just can't find a Superstar like Svechnikov outside of the Draft. The Canes couldn't overpay for a Superstar like that even if they wanted to. Those types just aren't available. The offer would have to blast Waddell's pants off to get him to consider a deal. It would have to include a current U25 Superstar.

Can you clarify which game he was scratched in the U20 tournament he played in? Haydn Fleury played in 5 games in the only U20 tournament he was in. Guess how many games Team Canada played in that tournament? I'll give two guesses. The number is between 4 and 6.

Did Fleury get scratched for a mythical 6th or 7th game that Team Canada played in?

IIRC Fleury was scratched from a couple of the exhibition games because he was one of the few considered a "lock" for the team. Ironically, maybe this is what they are referencing? Nobody on Canada's 15-16 WJC played more than 5 games.
