Great win. Nice job boys!

After a meh start, you gotta love what you saw from Saad. He was outstanding in the 2nd half of the game, especially the 3rd. No more white jersey, please.

Only got to see the tail end of the 2nd and the 3rd periods. Dominant 3rd period with standout performances by Sharp, Saad, and Oduya (until the gaffe in the last 2 minutes...my god). Sharp and Saad looked like the fastest players on the ice for either team.

I like how we closed out the game with a strong effort. A few mental lapses but he boys never took the foot off the gas.

As I said above, he and Sharpie really stood out to me. Nobody could stop Saad's neutral zone penetration and he played like a man possessed.

Have to hand it to Howard. Every shot the Blackhawks scored on was off the pipe and in. Perfect shots.

I bet Stalberg is kicking himself right now. With the way Detroit was skating tonight he could have had a heck of a game with his speed. Wonder how quickly his attitude will improve after seeing that performance. The bigger question might be if Q will even put him back into the lineup after the Hawks just played that well.

Everything was up to Stalberg before whatever happened, happened - including, seemingly, what happened between him and the coaching staff/Q. Now, it's up to the coaching staff. If I'm them, I'm in no hurry to get Stalberg back in the lineup after tonight's game.

Going to say it over and over again: This is not the time of year to be selfish. Your in the playoffs. You have a chance to win a Cup. Your team wins in 5 games in the 1st round, and you complain about/question your PP time? Seriously?

Stalberg

I don't blame a guy for wanting ice time. One of the things I hate about the information/technology era is that the media covers stories negatively to create a spin.

Q can take offense to Stalberg's suggestion or respect him for wanting more ice time. Q's is going to do what is best, and I don't think he would hold that against Stalberg. I'm expecting Stalberg to get back to back starts at some point in the series.

This must be what Ralphie felt like when he was just pounding on Scott Farkus.

If we win this series, I will be placing this in my signature for all to see. Well done.

Great win tonight, the only player whose performance I had a beef with was Shaw's. C'mon, two stupid penalties on Jakub Kindl of all people? Wow.

Howard's gonna be tough to beat moving forward, but after tonight's effort I'm not too worried. Detroit's going to play hard early in Game 2, weather the storm and win the game.
