Can't just drop someone with no coaching experience into a head coach position
Love Hossa and I do believe he could become a fantastic coach but his first job as coach, should NOT be as HC. If Hossa wants to get his feet wet in coaching with Indy or Rockford, I would love that. Those young players learning from Hossa would be amazing.

With that said, does Hossa even want to go into coaching?

Montreal did it with Martin St. Louis. So it’s not completely unprecedented.
He was working under Torts coaching.

Also, Hossa owns businesses or some places in Slovakia. If he didn't have those things, he likely would be working for the team.

Hossa to me seems like the kind of guy who if he wanted to get into coaching he would have started that path by now. Not sure I see it happening.

Although I do think he has the makings to be a great coach.
