These ticket prices are crazy. Can’t believe people are paying that much to watch a shitty hawks team while they freeze for four hours.

If it was a potentially great game like the last time the Hawks were at Wrigley vs Crosby and the Pens then I would maybe fork it over.

Friend of a friend offered us two tickets for $800 lol and we'd be all the way in the back in section 23 under the level above us. This is probably a fundamental issue with stubhub and ticketmaster in general but i wonder what these people trying to sell their tickets are going to do.

I'll watch the game at home on my couch I think and have a nice time staying warm

I wonder if there's sizable chunk of fans have been trained to assume that the Hawks aren't on TV that just won't think to turn on the Winter Classic this year? Not going to lie, I know I've missed a national broadcast just because I forgot until after the fact due to how many "basic" cable games I've missed due to CHSN nonsense.

The last time the hawks were at Wrigley it was the Red Wings. I know because their fans were all around us in the 400 level. Only cost me $900 for the pair of tickets. And ya it was very cold. When the game finally ended all the bars had lineups to get in. I said never again.

But it doesn't seem to matter. The NHL has this schtick and there seems to be endless fools waiting to buy tickets. But ya this game on NYE will be a true test if the schtick still works.
