don't see that this is a problem. no reason to think the same guys will perform at a 1D level every year. in fact you'd expect the opposite, unless you want to say bobby orr is still a 1D in the nhl today from beyond the grave or something. maybe some bruins fans would want to say that, what do i know?The problem with using it... you might have 15 guys get votes one year, then only 5 of those same guys get votes the next, and 10-12 different D end up with the rest of the votes the next year.
