GDT: Hawks @ Nucks, 15 Mar 2025, 9 PM CT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
IF we pair up Martinez and Brody and play them 1st pairing I think we can overtake the Sharks for last place .

He’s really gonna have to look himself in the mirror after this sophomore slump

It’s been a very tough year from him and Davidson needs to do everything to get him a line mate and a real coach

So much of this game is mental. I mean, so much of ANYTHING you do in life is mental, i suppose you could say. As with anything, whenever adversity hits....it really tests you. Especially the younger you are. I'm guessing the kid had never faced any adversity in his life up until his NHL career started progressing(even right when it started he seemed confident, happy, was performing better, etc.). But as its gone along and the adversity has mounted.....unfortunately he's folded. Instead of toughening up and acting accordingly, he's become rattled and shaken and seemingly can't deal with it. I can't say its a good sign for his future/things to come. But at the same time he's so young still that there's time to fix and adjust but he's gonna need some proper guidance/advice and he's gonna have to learn and grow A LOT. This offseason will be critical. I'm still confident he'll be OK, but his mental toughness is something that desperately needs to be improved moving forward.

Time to trade him?

a little of column a a little of column b. bedard needs to play the game better, both on the ice and in the politics with the refs. at the same time, it couldn't be any more achingly obvious that the refs are just f***ing with the kid because he's called them on their shit too many times. he's gonna have to learn that being right doesn't get you anywhere with these chucklef***s in black and white, and he's gonna have to learn to play through their bullshit.

Well said about the refs, i completely agree. You gotta learn how to deal with them properly.

Well that stunk. Not much more to say that hasn't been said already. The only thing to look forward to now is continued growth from the kids and an off season that has to be centered on finding the right coach.
