GDT: Hawks @ Nucks, 15 Mar 2025, 9 PM CT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Levshunov is a much stronger on-puck defender than I anticipated at this stage. Biggest issue so far seems to be conditioning/staying engaged when he gets caught on a long shift. But I'm pleasantly surprised with his defensive game so far.
Yeah I really thought his problem in college was that he going to be a defensive liability, but he’s not at all. Skies the limit for him.

The problem for this team is no longer the D. The wings and center are getting beat like a drum on good breakout passes from the D. We’ve solved one problem that has exposed the next problem. Which is awesome progress but still bruta to watch.

When your 1st line doesn’t get a single SOG in 4 straight periods including 3 against the worst team in the league, that’s a big problem

Give Sorensen his walking papers, another game they don’t start the first period.
i really don't get how you could get exactly what you wanted out of firing lurich, see that i was right and that the results would be slightly different but basically just as bad because the personell just isn't there, and then turn around and sincerely believe firing the *interim* coach three months after firing the other coach will have a different effect. it is the definition of insanity. obviously i'd like to see them bring in an actual coach for a change, but they could put the reanimated corpse of jack adams himself behind the bench, it won't give the blackhawks a real first line or first pairing to play. firing another coach also seems like a great way to make potential candidates think twice before signing for the gm with 2 sacked coaches in 4 seasons leading the front office.

Well I question if he was actually doing amazing work down in Rockford, or if the kids were just close to ready.

Doesn’t seem like he does much coaching. But the tipping point was not being thrown out last game on the bullshit misconduct. He barely looked like he moved. That’s not the kind of guy I want in Chicago, or Rockford, or anywhere really.

A limp dick coach leads to these limp dick efforts.
