Would love to see us win 3-0… all goals scored by Auston Matthews and shutout courtesy of Joe Woll.

Waffles eh?

Klingberg quietly looking good. Really nice to see someone with some skating and passing skill feed our forwards on the 2nd pair. I like him more than Mo on the PP too, he's a shooting threat.

3 pts in 2gp, I like what I am seeing.

This is what shocks me about NHLers, Bacon and Waffles. Bruh. Do other sports athletes eat like this too ?

The waffles are just for calories and carbs, but the rest is pretty healthy for an athlete. Bacon while high in salt, is a great source of protein. Eggs are lean protein and low calories.

It's actually a pretty good breakfast for an athlete. Carbs for the energy to go and do the morning work, and lots of protein.

Absolutely. For example, even narrowing down to just the NBA, and just addictions to candy/pop, there are tonnes:

- Dwight Howard ate the equivalent of 24 candy bars per day, for over a decade: Dwight Howard ate the equivalent of 24 candy bars per day for more than a decade

- Michael Beasley ate 6-7 packs of Skittles a day: NBA Player Has Serious Candy Habit

- Derrick Rose ate crazy amounts of candy, to the point he got stomach ulcers: "Everybody's Got Their Poison": When Derrick Rose Had a Big Gummy Bear Problem - EssentiallySports

- Caron Butler was legit addicted to Mountain Dew, to the point where he went through withdrawal symptoms when quitting: More on Caron Butler's extreme Mountain Dew addiction

- Lamar Odom ate a shitload of candy, his nickname was even "the Candy Man":

These guys exercise so much that they can get away with it - bacon and waffles for breakfast is nothing.

In years past this is the kind of game the Leafs would lose. Tonight will be another sign to everyone that this is a different team. They will dominate this game from start to finish.

If there was ever a game for Matthews to try to pop 3 in, it’s against this blackhawks team with mrazek in net

If you’re burning it off, you need the calories

You ever see NFL players after their playing career is done just balloon up?

When you’re eating 7,000 calories a day but burning it all off, you might not ever learn how to eat like a normal person (non-athlete).

I went through this after own athletic career, and had to re-learn how to eat lol

Somewhere the Leafs team of dieticians are collectively having a seizure.

100%, pretty common for athletes to balloon super fast once their career is over, if they can't rapidly change their eating habits.

Maybe, maybe not. I mean we're 2-0 and Matthews is the talk of the town but I haven't forgotten how poorly we played in game 1. But even if we'd have played like champs in both games, two games into the season is nothing and it won't be until the playoffs until we see if this is a different team or not. JMHO.
