I'd ask what in the world is Sorenson thinking, but I'm not sure he even is as this point.

I'm guessing with Vegas having the last change they obviously got Eichel out there against him basically every time he stepped on the ice.

But his decisions as a whole continue to make no sense.

He had Bedard's line matched up against the Mathews line vs the Leafs so he's chasing these line 1 vs line 1 matchups, or at least doesn't mind them. Either way its really stupid.

As much as it’s painful to watch them play these days, out tanking the Sharks would really be great. We keep mentioning Misa as a key target at the draft, but the odds of drafting top 2 are not great if we finish second last.

We are seeing now why Dickinson was so important. It’s not a fluke that things have gotten even worse since he has been out. Production or not, he takes tough matchups and face offs.

Yeah I said the same thing in the powers and laz discord. He did so much heavy lifting.

Its a damning indictment on GM the situation down middle being so horrific

Also, this has to be the worst Hawks team I can ever remember at faceoffs

Oh, and those who in recent years have downplayed the importance of faceoffs, well one simply has to watch this team inability to win any major faceoff and routinely get dominated to understand it's a major part of problem

they don't have a single goalie with a .900+ sv%. georgiev and vanechek have played the most games for them and they both have sv% worse than mrazek. only askarov has been better and he has a .896 in 12 gp. couple that with the fact that they're allowing more shots/60 than any team in the league and it's pretty easy to see why they'd be a highly competitive tank.

If a well known guy like Sullivan can’t be grabbed I’d take Carle don’t want to get an AV or a John Hynes which are well known bad commodities as a HC
