The kid probably didn't leave the ice once during that break. You see it every time he needs to be shouted to get off the ice after practice. He doesn't understand that he needs to pace himself.

And if we’re being honest he was bad at the start of the season too, well before the grind of a near-full season was even a factor. It’s just been a bad season in general and I don’t think there’s a direct answer as to why. Just one of those sophomore slumps.
