Tend to agree that Mack is the best player in hockey right now. Which is absurd to say with how good Mcdavid is. I never got to watch peak Yzerman but I gotta imagine it was something like this

Completely agree. He's a terror everytime he touches the puck. Not to say McDavid isn't, but I feel McDavid is way more dangerous on the PP compared to 5 on 5 unlike MacK.

Bednar wants to put McK out against Bedard. He has last change. This is why he put Dickinson on Bedard's line to try to help Bedsy not get caved in but most fans see the lines and have a freakout

Levshunov played that period in a rocking chair. A couple good pinches, a shot, a good zone entry on his little PP time. Only two times did I ask myself where the eff he was going.

Stevie Y was better without the puck as his career progressed ... but did not have the speed of McKinnon. The McKinnon/Makar combo is unrivaled, IMO.

Interesting, I had always heard that Stevie Y had changed and become more defensively responsible later in his career which is when I would have seen him

Most people attribute it to Scotty Bowman from what I’ve read. Always heard Yzerman was a burner when he was younger

Seth Jones was the only thing keeping us competitive with San Jose for the tank.

Since he left, the Hawks have been night and day better than the Sharks. Just shows how much further along we are than them in the rebuild.

He did notvpkay recklessxatracl hockey ..but T least played a solid detailed game. Encouraging..

Maybe as game goes on he takes more risk to attack with the puck....but at least he never got.out-skated or over matched physically..for acyoubg guy he was very solid ...notboutbof position...
