Have McDrai surpassed Peak Crolkin?

I agree.

Pittsburgh never had a Bouchard on D nor RNH as a winger. Gonchar wasn't in his prime anymore.

Malkin & Crosby were also on separate lines with lackluster wingers.

Looking back, it's amazing they took down the Detroit juggernaut with those wingers. Florida is good. Very good. But they definitely aren't as good as those Wings teams.

Gonchar was still very good at the time but was not himself after being kneed by OV in the 2nd round.

Wow a thread from 2019, but crazy to look back now and they still (as of today) dont have a Cup. Also captain obvious, but its apples to oranges. Crosby and Malkin were both true centers who played center and centered their own lines and for the most part only saw ice time together on the PP. McDavid is a center and Draisaitl is a winger at this point. I dont blame the players nor the Oilers for deploying them that way; it works. But lets stop pretending these are two centers dominating. Its the best player in the world dancing around while an elite finisher chills in his office waiting for passes.

Once McDrai win a championship beating a legendary team themselves theyll surpass Croskin with ease. Offensive numbers blow them away

Peak Sid had 37 in 22 before going down to injury, and peak Malkin at the end of same season had 36 in 22

Now Drai has 41 in 21 and McDavid has 37 in 21

Nostalgia on HF heavily will favor peak Sid/Geno in a poll, but what is the actual story? Have McDrai passed them?

as an oiler fan I have to ask--how many CUPS did each group win? At the end of they day? That is what it is all about
