During my Disneyland vacation last November, I tripped on a staircase connecting the Marvel and Star Wars exhibits in Tommorowland. I had leg pains in my thigh and calf. I finally convinced my dad to talk to my primary care physician to see my leg. After stretching my leg, he told me to get an X-Ray first, and if the scans shows nothing, get a MRI. So, last Wednesday, I got an X-Ray, and the doctor saw the X-Ray and told dad that day that they show up negative. So Dad schedule a MRI today. I got the MRI. It was cold, and I was fidgety, but I made it.

So, anybody else have to go inside the MRI machine?

Several times--mostly due to a nasty knee injury I suffered a few years ago

Wait a minute...

How does anyone get into a magnetic resonance imaging machine if we're all made of metals? (iron in our blood). Magneto could rip iron out of people's blood.

Check and mate.

Been a few times and I don't have an issue with it. I can see how some might find it claustrophobic though. The last time I went I actually almost fell asleep.

Yep. Had one done about 3 weeks ago after being dicked around by my insurance [they denied the 1st order). My Orthopedic gave them hell about it and the next day it was approved. MRI showed that I had a ruptured disc + a bone spur + Degenerative Disc Disease in the L4-L5-S1 region. Had a Microdiscectomy done on Monday morning. The past two months had been absolute hell for me. That pain and numbness was unreal. I'm glad the whole ordeal is over with and the recovery process has started.

To answer your question, yes and it took about 45 minutes.

Was it a sitting or laying down MRI? Usually a back that bad a sitting MRI shows more.
