Waddell just said during the intermission of the Tampa-Atlanta game that Grahame IS on the list, so I take back all the evil things I've been thinking about him. :handclap:

If I understood correctly, Team Finland head coach Erkka Westerlund said that they're not planning to publish any preliminary rosters, just the final one. The delivered list of about 60 players to the Finnish OC but didn't sounfd like it was going to be public. :dunno:

Why all the secrecy?I think 80% of posters here could pick most of their team.

Here's an a new article on the selection process for the U.S. Team: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/columnist/allen/2005-10-30-rink-rap_x.htm

It will be interesting to say the least who will end up making the squad.
Yes it will.it's early but not having more players who are up in the top scorers is a concern though not totally handi-capping.Bring guys who can skate and play two ways and guys who can be counted on to kill penalties and do good work on the P.P i'd say.

Why Schneider was ever "on the bubble" is beyond me.

Personally, I think Allen's concerns about scoring are overblown. As for Schneider, he's suited up for the U.S. on several occasions, so I would expect he's almost a lock to be there this time around.

He's a lock,yep,agreed.

Last I heard about Finland was that their roster is named and submitted to the IIHF, but for some reason, they (the Finnish Federation) is not making it public.....

I have no idea why not though... :dunno:

Keeping it secret means not having to tell the players whom they prefer over whom. Eventually they'll have to pick the players # 15-22 over 23-30, but now they can refrain from making statements 'round 50, some of whom will be borderline WC players in April. This is just guessing, though.
