Pack sign a F out of Cornell

no news today (yet?) re Karpa, lamb or Fortescue

At Cornell's last game in the playoffs against Connecticut, Sullivan played first line left wing with center Ryan Walsh, a Boston draft choice, and right wing, Dalton Bancroft, one of the top remaining free agents.

I believe Hartford now has three AHL contracts for next season. Hartford signed defensemen Case McCarthy and Ryan Siedem to two year contracts last year.

Bloomington has signed three players:

Shane Ott: Niagara, Ott is a 24 year old left shot forward who was a point per game player this year at Niagara. In eight games with Bloomington since signing he has 8 assists in 8 games and is +5.

Evan Stella: AIC, Stella is a small left shot defenseman from Sweden. Didn't generate much offensively at AIC. With Bloomington he has no points in 3 games.

Jack Robilotti: U Mass Lowell, Robilotti is a right shot defenseman from New York, New York, who played 4 years at Holy Cross and then moved to Lowell last year. He didn't generate much offense in college and has no points and -3 in 3 games with Bloomington.

His name seems backwards. Mack Sullivan sounds much better than Sullivan Mack.

He's 24 years old, so probably not much runway left, but you never know.

"The hockey ties run deep in the Dorrington family. In 1950, their distant cousin, Art Dorrington, became the first Black player to sign an NHL contract when he joined the New York Rangers organization. Art never made it to the NHL, but he played in the Eastern Hockey League and International Hockey League and later founded the Art Dorrington Ice Hockey Foundation to provide playing opportunities for children in Atlantic City, N.J."

Oh, so it’s a case of organizational nepotism - Drury’s overcompensating for not drafting Jack ;)

End of second. 2-1 Hershey.
Lost count of the penalty count.
Hartford 8
Hershey 5 or 6
Maybe?
Parrott jumped Chmelar towards the end of the period and then at the horn Edmonds gets jumped.
Don’t know why Belzile is not in the lineup.

Hershey 2 Hartford 2. Roobroreck scored with 1:25 to go.
O/T up coming.
By getting the point Wolf pack will not be eliminated tonight.

Wolf Pack all season has been lost in their own zone. This game was no different. Passes sent right to opposing players. Unable to defend the house.
Not sure if it was such a low bar to begin with but Robertson has looked okay(?) as this season is winding down.
Springfield won tonight.
Leighhigh Valley lost.

At least they are playing the same system as the Rangers.

I was at the game with my son. Got home very late and will provide thoughts when I have a chance. But very discouraging. Garand stole them a point. My son, who is a Caps fan, remarked about how good Garand was. No one else looked like an NHL player. And in the OT, what could have possessed Potulny to put out Robertson, brisson and Sucesse? Thru were just terrible and lost the game.

Good lord, sign a play making AHL vet dman this summer, team is so boring.
Yeah, that's the biggest thing they are missing. Last year, Hollowell had 44 points and Brouillard had 36. Robertson was 3rd with 21.

This year, Robertson leads the team with 24. We need someone who can run a PP. Last year, Hartford was 19.3% on the PP. This year, they are 15.2%. They've scored 21 less goals on the PP this year.

They'll need to add some vets up front as well, but I expect the young guys to step up and produce more.

Trevor Carrick is Sam's brother. He's currently on an AHL contract, playing for Charlotte. He has 48 points in 63 games. With Sam having another year on his contract, maybe we can lure Trevor over. Give him a 2-way contract for a couple years if necessary.

Or maybe we can sign Derrick Pouliot. He's a UFA this summer and had 51 points in 65 games for Syracuse. Ethan Bear is another UFA option.

Up front, we can bring back Belzile and Groulx. And maybe we can add someone like Chris Terry. He's turns 36 tomorrow, but he's still a PPG player in the AHL. He hasn't played in the NHL since 2016-17 and hasn't been under NHL contract since 2019-20. I'm sure if we gave him a 2-way deal, he'd take it.

Take some of that revenue the organization bleeds from us and use it to get some players who are actually good at the AHL level.
