Hellebuyck has the numbers to win the Hart but the hype machine doesn't seem to be behind him the way it is behind Draisaitl, think he takes his 2nd Hart trophy home.

Connor wins it, then Draisaitl gets pissy and nutshots a young LA Kings player in game 1.

Kucherov has become difficult to ignore but I think he is runner up to Leon. Not really a historic enough season from Hellebuyck to win the Hart.

I’m honestly not sure anymore. I thought Draisaitl was the front runner but it’s difficult to win while missing that many games, and Kucherov has taken a large point lead on him. I think it might open the door for Hellebuyck, though goalies don’t usually don’t win in big scoring seasons

I’m surprised this many people still think Draisaitl. He’s way behind in the scoring race and missed a decent amount of time now. What’s the argument?

Pretty close to scoring lead and will win the Rocket, I guess. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but the voters probably had their minds and hearts set on him too early and now Kucherov has a really comparable case. I think Leon or Kuch should get it at the end of the day. Hellebuyck's really not appreciably better than the rest of the goalies this year, not enough to be an MVP. Great seasons all around though

I don't think Draisaitl has a case, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins it. 4th in points, missed 11 games, only 7 points ahead of McDavid, 3rd in PPG.

A month ago he looked like a lock. But he missed a ton of time, Kucherov played tremendous hockey, and Hellebucyk stood on his head. And McDavid came back and put up 9 points in 3 games.

I don't think missing 11 games should cause Drasaitl to not win it although I wouldn't be surprised if he did not win it based on that. In my opinion he was the best player in the league this season. He played with offensive scraps for a lot of his ice time and still dominated at both sides of the rink. The Oilers depth was weak for most of the season, goaltending weak for most of the season, and with McDavid missing a solid amount of games, both him and McDavid really had to carry the team this season and Draisaitl was the better overall player for stretches especially when it came to being the difference maker for winning and losing games.

While I think Kucherov wins the hart Draisaitl had absolutely no competition for the rocket this year

Helle.
He had one of the best goalie season of any player in a couple of decades and there is not one forward that truly stands outs this season against the rest of the pack. I expect it to be a close vote count with Helle getting over the top.
