Hardest "on the puck" on your fave team

Was listening to Ottawa sports radio and they were praising David Perron for how "hard on the puck" he is. Sort of a vaguely defined concept but I guess it's how hard it is to take possession away/how able the player is to keep possession in tight under pressure (not in an evasive/speed way, in a powerful way).

Frankie Corrado was asked who was hardest on the puck when he played and he said Brad Marchand. Recalled a time he tried to stick lift him confident he'd pick his pocket and Brad's stick didn't even budge.

For the Sens I think this is Brady Tkachuk or David Perron. Perron might actually have the edge.

Not only on the Panthers but I don't think there's anyone in the league better at it than him

I'm not really sure. Nylander can be but isn't always. I guess JT is a solid choice. Matthews is quite sturdy, but puck protection isn't really his thing. It's not Marner. I can say that much.

Sens have four guys up front who are extremely good at this, imo:

Brady
Perron
Amadio
Greig

Giroux can be very "sticky", too, but the real wildcard is Batherson. When he is physically and mentally engaged, he can be extremely strong on the puck. He's not consistent enough in it at all, but his ability is really high for a finesse player.
 
For the Canes, probably Jordan Staal. His hands aren’t great, so he’s prone to that sort of turnover, but man is that guy ever hard to take off the puck once he starts protecting it. There aren’t a lot of guys in the league who can knock him down.

Underrated: Jaccob Slavin, who routinely makes clean passes while casually absorbing checks with his body

This was my easy answer, man looks other NHL players look like children at stick time since it's not even about the hands (which are good anyway) but being big enough to just hold someone off with an arm and play keep away.

All time, I'd imagine Jagr has to be near the top of the list.

For the Wings, Zetterberg was a monster on the puck for a guy who was average size and weight.

I was about to name him but until he gets a little more of a mean streak I’m going with PLD. For as gigantic as he is out there, he doesn’t always play in a straightforward manner. Which is totally fine btw, I love big pro, he’s just too content with being huge and not always asserting his size

Peter Schaefer in his time was freakishly good along the boards, like come up with the puck 5 on 1 good. There used to be a clip out there of the other 4 senators doing a full line change in the offensive zone while the entire other team tried to get the puck from him
