Definitely a one and done Cup over there in Colorado. They lost way too many key pieces.

They only lost Kadri (and Kuemper but he wasn't all that great anyways) and just have some major injuries.

They need a new top 6 center but otherwise they are pretty much the same team when healthy.

Add in the fact that there are not many great teams out West and they should have a fairly easy time. Completely the opposite of the Leafs where 3 of like the top 5 teams in the NHL are in our division each year.

To be fair though, a legit top six center is as big a whole as one can get in terms of trying to fill.

Though I don't disagree the weak west will still allow them a decent chance at going deep again

Just hope they or Vegas speedbag the pretender Oilers if Edmonton scrapes into the playoffs

Holl a very quiet game, cutting of passing lanes, getting in front of pucks, winning board battles and you know just being well, one of them NHL defencemen guys

Going to miss him when he goes.

Good bounce back game for both Murray and the team.

Tonight was a great performance, but it was also an example of what drives me nuts about this this team and always has.

Colorado? Done, Tampa shut them down, Pittsburgh wipe the floor with them, Carolina? No problem, Boston beat them too.

Arizona? That challenge is to great for some reason.

Absolutely, but it is only one key piece.

And there are good options out there on the trade market. That is why they are heavy in on Horvat, but even then they could go after ROR, Monahan, or Toews.

End the year and ring in the new one with a solid win which allowed Keefe to balance the minutes out.

We can only hope that somehow 2023 breaks the record long Cup drought for this franchise.

lol they keep bringing me back with new hope...

was calling it quits when they kept babcock after the second bruins loss, but then they hired keefe and went on a bit of a run.

was calling it quits after that embarrassing montreal loss, but then matthews has the greatest regular season for any leafs player ever and took the dynasty tampa team to game 7 and were right there with them. series was a coin toss.

was calling it quits after an offseason where the leafs looked like they were falling behind all their peers, but then in the face of many injuries, they play a strong team defense game and go on a tear.

I guess the motto is never give up. For real though if they get eliminated in round 1 again I’m done (until next season that is)
