I’ve had my neck opened up (thyroid, lymph nodes) 4 times in the past 2 years. Get a good neck pillow. You may need to sleep upright for a few days.

Im having surgery to remove both a tumor in my throat and at least one parathyroid glands.

Ive suffered for years with broken teeth and fingers due to calcium being leeched from them and now its being deposited in my kidneys , heart and right lung. Tons of tests revealed the tumor . .

So out it needs to come. Hopefully its is benign.
I’ll know next week post biopsy.

And hopefully it will significantly slow down my hyperparathyroidism.

So if I dont get back to pm response for a bit or miss posting some birthdays please forgive me.

If all goes well I do plan on being back here during the weekend.

I'm so sorry I missed this before I foolishly posted about moving north - you know how I feel about you, and I'll be pulling for you. You do thankless work around here, and I can only imagine how lucky those around you in "real life" must feel every day being close to you.

I used to get the shoulder tap from my junior coach when it was time for me to go out and address the other team's tough guy - I'm tapping you on the shoulder now. Go get 'em.

My stepfather in Pensacola reports they have six inches of snow there.... so far

It's just bitter cold here. I walked down the driveway to get my mail a few minutes ago and although it's super cold, the air smells so crisp and good. Plus somebody has a wood stove cranked up.

I know this is extreme but I'll take this weather over 100 degree heat and 247% humidity and 80 gallons of sweat every time

Thank god for remote start. I get so anxious every morning when I press the start button after having a string of shitty batteries after I got hit and run the first time. Knock on wood but the AAA battery I got 2 years ago is holding up perfectly

I don't drive every day but I do start it and let it run for 10 minutes before I go out and shut it off.

The good news for Pensacola and the rest of us in the south/southern plains is that the warmup is on the way.
