At least I can just lie around and watch Bewitched reruns and The Price is Right all day.

This was me, except the blanket I used was a purple and white ripple afghan crocheted by my grandmother. I still have it, in fact it's on my bed right now and I'm about to go curl up with it because my throat is scratchy like I'm coming down with something.

Oh, and I also watched I Love Lucy and Leave It to Beaver

This is spot on - after reading (I think it was @GahdenRinkRat ) that the trainer was putting Vick's on Charlie Coyle's chest, it gives me new respect for it. I happen to have some, so have been slathering it on. It is such a comforting aroma.

Oh, and I always had to have Peppermint Aeros too.

I worked with a guy who was on the Price is Right years ago. He won the bid round, won his game and had a set of snowshoes or something shipped to his house, then got sassed by Bob when it was his turn to spin the wheel. I found a video of it at one point by plugging in the date to a "Price is Right" search on Youtube, but the date escapes me now

There are very good reasons for the ban. Tiktok refusing to sell should be all you need to know; if the point of the product is NOT to make money, then what is the point? Answer: The reason it is being (and should be) banned.

It does a lot of harm. My therapist told me last week that she has kids coming in because they are worried they are (for example) schizophrenic because they did a quiz on TikTok. There is a lot of damaging information and we need to protect our kids especially.

That goes for all social media. Whether it's communist propaganda on TikTok or teen girls being sent links to pages on eating disorders via Instagram, it should be off limits to kids. But unfortunately, those platforms have so much power, even lawsuits can't scare them into doing what's right.

Concern that the Chinese govt can use it as a propaganda/misinformation tool, especially in the wake of the Russian meddling of late. Also the Chinese government has unrestricted access to all users' personal info through it, a potentially massive cybersecurity threat.

It’s not really about what gets posted per se.
It is much much more so about what mining and info gathering the Chinese Government is doing behind the seen.
