Lego kits are addicting. Took me about 4 hours to put this together because the prices were quite small. I really want to do Maleficent’s dragon next.

Newton, MA.
I also have a list. I call it the drop-dead list.

It is perhaps too much to hope that I am not on it.

Merry Christmas, Susan, and I trust you had a lovely time with Amanda in the Great Northwest & Cal-ee-fornya, as Gov. Arnold used to say,

Vacation starts in one hour.

CEO just handed out bonuses. 3% of annual salary. I knew it was coming a while ago (perk of working in HR) but always nice to get the actual check. Actually direct deposit would be even better but they insist on them being checks for some reason. Oh well, that's what mobile deposit on your phone is for, I guess. Don't complain, just take the money!! lol

I also got a mason jar with ingredients to make a batch of cookies. :naughty:
That’s pretty solid. I just did the math. My bonus came out to .18 percent of my salary. Yes. That’s point 18 percent.

But hey, I’ll take it

A fire truck and ambulance pulled up to the house next door a little while ago. No lights or sirens. The truck just left, think the ambulance is still there. I don't know anything about those neighbors. Hope it's nothing major.

My rule of thumb when it comes to a bonus is not to expect one at all. Out of sight, out of mind.
This is my 21st Christmas here, and they have always given a bonus, but they have never guaranteed it and I never plan on it.

I know some people do, though. If they ever decide not to give one, there will definitely be some unhappy campers.

Welcome Winter! My daughter is having a bonfire tonight to welcome the Winter Solstice, it will be -22C with the windchill. I hope there will be some snowflakes but it looks like a clear night, which will be beautiful. There is something magical about the solstice, embrace nature if you can.

Our bird feeder is very busy on these cold days, it is a gift to watch the chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, woodpeckers, finches and juncoes. I will be getting some peanuts to feed the squirrels, even though they are a pain at times. There was a lack of walnuts on the trees this summer for some reason, I am sure there are going to be hungry animals.

Sending positive vibes to everyone who is struggling, I know for some, this time of year is so very difficult.

Of course you are not on it! There is no one from HF on my list...yet.

Never made it to California this trip. Seattle and Vancouver (and an airplane stop in Montreal on the way home)

I had a nice time with my daughter.

Merry Christmas Mark! :xtree:

His Magesty skit is the best. He always has me in tears. It’s so funny. Why he isn’t in air is rediculous .

My dad finally got enrolled in USAA, took my brother-in-law getting on it for us. Now I am eligible and probably switching, for at least my car (just got a new one with the wife). My home requires both flood and general home owners insurance. My flood insurance was grandfathered in from the prior owners but my home owners goes through the mortgage / bank, probably a project to work on in January.

I've heard nothing but good things about USAA so it feels like the right move to slide over to it. I gotta get a term life for myself that'd cover what I owe on the house + some extra cash to pay out to the wife. I bought the house before we were together so she's not on the mortgage or deed. The advice I was given to make her my beneficiary and then get that term life that covers the life of the mortgage.

Being a grown up is annoying, I hate paperwork.

Saw this and I just have to say, I don't get it. Is this some sort of trend? Or did they just get a bad batch and are trying to make it a trend? Lol

He had his feel of The Late Late Show after 10 years (2006-2014) and felt he had accomplished everything possible in that format.

I believe Ferguson still has a house in the United States and dual citizenship, but he went back home to Glasgow. Which is where my brother Bob teaches architecture at the Glasgow School of Art. I'm always trying to convince him what a comic genius Craig is,
