Happy Easter indeed friends

My family didn`t really do anything special for Easter but Mrs. Odaat`s family is of Russian and Ukranian heritage and take this as a very serious holiday to the point where we do a group facetime with my father in law`s brother`s families.

Orthodox Easter is next week so we actually wind up doing/recognizing Easter on 2 different dates with them

He is RISEN!

Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all enjoy a beautiful day with your loved ones, or friends and family. Life is a gift. Cherish it always!

I always finish my little prayer meditation book after Lent.

I may be 33, but my mom makes sure all of us kids (38, 36, 27) still get a gift. The grandkids too. (15, 9, and 1). Mom's are the backbone. Truly. Love you Dads but moms are the best!

"May we allow ourselves to experience amazement at the joyful proclamation of Easter, at the light that illumines the darkness and the gloom in which, all too often, our world finds itself enveloped."-Pope Francis.

God Bless you all!

39 years old and still get an Easter basket from mom. Only this one includes a very different kind of bubbles, cookies from Lyndells, towels from Stonewall Kitchen and, of course, a chocolate bunny.

Today a handful of us had to leave the service early in order to prep the egg hunt for the kids after the service. So we got up, and of course seeing a number of people stand up and start leaving during the message gets a bit of attention, especially in a congregation of about 100. Our pastor noticed this and said "it's okay, nothing is wrong.... they're just going to lay some eggs"

The business across the street from us was kind enough to let us borrow their lawn since our property only has about 20 square feet of lawn lol

When I began dating my wife 5 years ago, we had a serious conversation about our future.

We enjoyed each other’s company. We had a lot in common, but we also disagreed about a lot.

I had recently come back to my faith. She admittedly was not a person of faith. She made it clear that she’d be willing to attend Mass with me, and support me in my faith, but that it wasn’t something she believed in.

Her dad passed away a couple of years ago. She was never baptized into any faith. She spent a lot of time being angry with God. I did a lot of praying and a lot of letting go, and we moved forward hand in hand.

We did marriage prep classes to get married in the Church. When we’d do the work books, they would ask questions about faith. She’d write “I have faith in you, Mike.”

Last Saturday, our son was baptized.
Tonight, Megan will be baptized, confirmed, and receive her first communion.

To me, this is a great miracle.
And I’ll gladly catch the Bruins on DVR for this.
Best read on this board. Congratulations
