Be happy today, folks. Some will say "move on" but that's a load of ****.

I do hazily remember '94 but I was just too young to appreciate it. That said, I'll never ever forget 2/3/08, 11/4/09, or 6/1/19.

Don't ever forget 6/14/94. Even if it does last a lifetime.

That's like me with the Mets in '86. I hazily remember that but was too young to appreciate it. Glad I old enough to appreciate '94 though as a teenager! To date it's the only time one of my teams came through for me. Rangers/Mets/Jets fan here. :)

LEETCH vs. MACINNIS poll: Al MacInnis Versus Brian Leetch

I remember yelling “SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT” when that puck was on Leetch’s stick. Seemed like an eternity.

Watched every sec of the post game in a bar that hours prior was PACKED. I sat there in the middle of a giant banquet room in one chair watching on big screen and crying.

Yes, I know what you're thinking, yes that's an original Melillo.

June 14,1994 was the longest night of my life, also besides my wife and children the greatest night also.It was also my 53rd birthday but it paled in comparision to winning the cup and seeing Messier skate around the Garden with the cup.Just an aside I have never heard the Garden or any other arena as loud as the Garden was that night.Go Rangers

That makes you 78. Hope you have 25 more healthy years!

I was 9 watching at home with my Dad. I went to take a crap late in the third period. I remember my Dad yelling that 'you're gonna miss it!!' so I wiped faster and ran back into the living room. Sorry for the details but I still remember it vividly.

Thanks Dad :dunce:

I'm pretty jealous of you old timers. I was too young to enjoy the championship. My earliest hockey (and sports) memories are of the Legion of Doom bumping us off in 1997, have hated Lindros and co ever since. I still consider the Rangers to have never won during my lifetime so Sam still owes me one!

Was lucky enough to be at both Game 7s that year; 10 of the 13 home playoff games in '94 actually. Somehow it feels like it was yesterday & it's something I'll never forget. The stress of the last 2 series was pure torture. Had we not won Game 7 of the Finals, I think several people in NYC would've have jumped off a bridge. After the game ended you could feel the city let out a collective sigh of relief while we partied the night away.

I still lived at home & I'll never forget the look on my mothers' face when I walked in the door at 7am. She was pretty understanding considering she had no idea where I was from the time the game ended til I got home.

The crazy part about 25 years is how old I am now. I was 22 in June of '94 & in 2 months I'll be 48. Where the hell did the time go?

Lastly, I just wish this team could win again so the fans don't have to keep living off one Cup in 79 years & counting.

That Messier guarantee made that win a thing of legend even though it wasn't the final. Congrats!
