If he wants to stay in Anaheim he will stay in Anaheim. They will get it done. I think the 8th year will be a key factor to locking him down.

I'll pay him almost anything. Most important player on the team by far not even close. He's the most underrated defensemen in the league and tilts the ice completely.

Most teams have to pay their best player more than that. I'd love to get him signed for less, but some of those signings last summer likely drove the market up. I really can't expect to get Lindholm signed for too much less than Nurse for example.

It doesn't make me feel entirely comfortable either but I suspect that's what it will take, and I have no interest in seeing the Ducks best player walk.

Ducks are so much better when he is in the line up, and he has been a great mentor for Drysdale.

I agree that Lindholm is clearly the better player. Nurse might have been able to pull more negotiation leverage due to producing points at a higher rate.

I wish Hampus could play with the 2 best offensive players in the league. Zegras and McTavish better develop into McDavid and Drai

Not overpaying for Rakell/Manson would make it a bit less uncomfortable.

I think with the 8th year can keep the AAV down a little. Gotta lock this guy up, he is young enough to fit into the Ducks window.

If he doea hit the market a bit of a suprise suitor could be Detroit. When Yzerman was with Tampa was very high on him in the draft and tried to trade up to get him.

I think he would be an absolutely perfect partner for Seider on the top pairing.

He's a perfect partner for literally any type of defensemen. He does all the right stuff, can play all the minutes, is elite defensively and in transition, he just makes winning play after winning play and he is strong as an ox now. The Ducks better f***ing re-sign him.

With all the recent sigings of defensemen who aren't as good as him, but maybe draw more media attention because of the markets they play in, Lindholm should be getting 9+ per year until the end of time.
