I’d disagree lindholm and Rakell are both UFA

I think
1st + lysell is prob close in value for lindholm
Rakell for debrusk straight up is prob pretty close

I think it’s close just like that
Fair enough, you would know better then I in regards to the Ducks.

I would have to imagine Rakell could fetch more than that no? Pretty versatile 2nd/3rd line guy I'd think if Ducks will retain 50% he's someone a lot of contenders will be looking at

If Lindholm is intent on going to UFA, I don't think the Bruins can afford to take the risk in the OP. Would rather pay extra for Chychrun, even if it is significant. If Bruins go in that hard with futures, it has to be for someone that will be sticking around for the McAvoy/Pastrnak/Swayman era, because their list of guys currently in the system that are going to be meaningful players after this retool is pretty small right now.

I guess it depends on how you feel about debrusk… but I personally like debrusk game and think he would be a good fit in Anaheim

To build on what I said above… I do this if I get a sense from Lindholm that he wants to forgo free agency and it makes sense. He is good enough that he can bump the team back to contender status (with Rakell as a pure rental) and young enough to be around as the Bruins find more core pieces in the forward group as Bergeron ages out. But in a very very deep east this year, Boston can’t be making moves that cost this much that are only about 2022.

For Boston to be able to afford re-signing Bergeron and Lindholm, the deal as it stands would have to be reworked to include some neutral assets like Reilly, some dumps like Moore, or even a positive asset like Carlo.

boston says no. we are in no position to trade our 1st rounder and one of the only good prospects we have. boston will be doing very little this deadline. no big fish.
Ya Boston is kinda in an odd spot and prob shouldn’t be in on expensive rentals… a guy like chychrun prob makes more sense if they were going to spend premium assets

For what its worth, not even sure the free agency rumors are true. The report seemed more like speculation.

If money was his demand, the 8th year would be pretty important factor, not to mention anaheim has a ton of cap space. I imagine if he doesnt want to resign in anaheim its because he wants to play on a contender... or something like we wont give him 8 year deal

I agree you cannot give up that for rentals , I still would prefer Chychrun and Crouse , young and and signed ,I know Crouse is a RFA......

Is that a leak on purpose to possibly scare mangement into another 500k per year?

Oh that's his agent? Didn't know that.
Would make sense then to gauge their reaction.

Remember Gallagher rumors getting out he was unhappy and then a day or two later he gets re-signed
Ya lol Claude usually good about getting his guys money
