Rick Nash was one of the most impactful players I can remember when he was with CBJ. He was herculean most games, and carried that team on his back.

Even with the Hart in Hall's favour, Nash was the better player with the higher peak.

Well I mean Nash is multi time World Champion, Scott Hall never got a world title although he should have.

But they were both founding members of the NWO.

Oh, you mean Taylor Hall and Rick Nash.

It's a tough call Taylor Hall NHL MVP VS Rick Nash with Olympic Gold Medals.

It’s insane to me that people are in here trying to say Nash had a better peak. Nash never got anywhere near a Hart trophy. People must really just dislike Taylor Hall

I think it’s just easy to forget half a season. That’s not a dig, just what I think is happening, plus “meh” Hall is here now whereas people can forget Nash’s less-than-stellar years.

Damn, that's quite the hot take.
He's immobile, not exactly charismatic, not a great worker, doesn't really bump and never tries. Quite literally, the worst-drawing WWE Champion of all-time. Was in a match at Summerslam '95 that's shortlisted for worst match of all-time. He is funny, and he leaned into that with his TNA character, but he took himself way too seriously for most of his career for that to come through. Beyond that, I really don't see anything he's good at except being tall and having a bunch of Hall of Fame friends (HBK, Hall, Hunter, Hogan).

Even Hogan, who catches a ton of shit, could work a match and drew like crazy. Vs Rock at WM18 is an all-timer. The WM6 match against Warrior was stupid but everyone was into it. Name a great Kevin Nash match.

Fair points, tho one could argue "Kevin Nash made millions of dollars off of three immensely talented individuals" in some ways applies to HHH. Yes he better than every aspect of wrestling than Nash, but who knows if he gets into position to be one of the top guys (enabling him to marry the owners daughter thus solidifying himself as a main eventer for the rest of his career) if he doesn't get in with the Cliq. Or if he was a drinker and thus could not be their DD, negating any worth he had at the time

You're not wrong.

He rode HBK close to the top and then married to stay there. He's a talented dude, probably a main eventer who could have had a decent run at the top. But 14x champion, a fistful of Mania main events, and basically champion for three years? Probably not.

I thought Rick Nash provided what Hall did in that 17-18 season - to a lesser extent but more consistently. He was always a dangerous player on a bad team and could score goals by himself. And to be honest, his 08-09 season is kind of in the same ballpark as Hall's. Hall had some more assists to pad those overall point totals, but I don't feel like it was that different. Blue Jackets were absolute dog shit offensively, Hischier might've been a rookie but Columbus didn't even have a center with his talent.

As he got older he became an effective PKer as well, and always had that size, even if he was inconsistent in using it for other than power moves to score goals.

As a Finn he was always a menace in the World Championships against us.

Im going to vote for Nash, because if I had to sign one of these players to a long-term contract, I'd pick Nash. I just don't like Hall's game, and it's pretty telling when Cassidy came out and said he doesn't play winning hockey.
