I think it's interesting that we've had recent polls on best goal scoring seasons where many, if not most, were incredibly favorable towards players like Selanne and Bure during years when they led their teams and the league in scoring while having little to no support but apparently that same standard does not apply to someone like Rick Nash according to the HF hivemind.

Well, Nash isn’t Selanne or Bure. No one would argue with that. But that shouldn’t discredit Nash’s play either. The thread is Hall v Nash and Nash never had the talent around him like Hall did at various points of his career. Nash’s top line mates at his peak were like Nikolai Zherdev and Jason Chimera.

Taylor Hall was always a bum. He just fooled people into thinking he was a superstar by putting up empty points. A lot of talent but played like he was "the guy", when he wasn't nearly good enough to do that. He's a bum and he always has been.

One could argue in 2018 was the guy.
