It’s crazy how a team with this much talent has a serious chance of missing the playoffs in this division. Especially after how we started. So frustrating
He gave up one bad goal and unfortunately it was the GWG. I don't know what more you want him to do on the first two. Defense can not let the opposing players get inside position on them like that. That is penalty killing 101. Unfortunately it does not seem like team defense is all that important to the team this year.

The Blues played with more energy than previous games, but Binnington let in a bad goal, and The Blues, being outskated, gave up too many penalties, plus, the refs added 2 that shouldn't have been. But, the bottom line is that The Blues, somehow have to play better. Unfortunately, they have 16 of the remaining 20 games against the 3 teams ahead of them, so they have few less important games for the previously-injured players to get used to playing with their teammates, and get into a good groove. I think it's not a great bet that they'll make the playoffs.

I'm a Binny fan, but I wouldn't mind leaving him unprotected with a few other passengers at the expansion draft.
If I am the one in charge of things. I trade Hoffman and Bozak at the TDL for picks and prospects and I can't believe I am saying this I float Schwartz as well and then try to re-sign him in the summer. You could get a nice bundle of picks and prospects from that. I would also shut Parayko down for the rest of the year and have him focus on being 100% to start next season. Even if he does return this year, I just have a feeling he will be nowhere near 100. Lastly, Berube needs to craft a camp that has a heavy refocus on team defense, it is something we have strayed away from badly this season.

This biggest issue with leaving Binny unprotected is afterwards we have no goalie. Husso isn't starter quality, Hofer and Ellis are not anywhere close to ready, Fitzpatrick is Fitzpatrick.

The schedule is too brutal and I don't see any spark in this team. If DP57 and 90 are doing all the work and everyone else is coasting, then letts just coast to the end and retool over the summer.
