He comes across like he probably is. So overly impressed with himself that it's probably real hard to take as a teammate. Finds himself a whole lot more interesting and entertaining than he is. A real whole lot more.

I think you are confusing Gill's style of play with his personality. I thought "Skillsy" was funny in a self deprecating kind of way.

It's not working if they are trying to make Subban look bad Great teammate and annoying to play against, with the ability to back up all your chirping/cockiness, is the best personality to have in sports.

Hal Gill wasn't bashing Subban, he supports him. Subban is arguably the best defenseman in the league, at worst the 2nd best. He's going to pick up some haters along the way, Hal Gill isn't one of them...he mentored Subban quite a bit and they respected each other.
