I hope this goal can help him rebound and get back too form. We can see the shot is still there. Would love to see him wrist a good one in.
No.

We have to take our medicine. No matter how bitter it is.

The anti-ownership fury of the casual fan base must be stoked into an inferno and that can not happen if Petey reverts back to "form".

People have incredibly f***ing short memories when you start spiking their dopamine receptors and EP40 being all smiley and happy and scoring goals and celebrating with teammates would do exactly that.

No.

We need Petey and Bo and Brock to continue to play the way they're playing right now.

Passionless, timid and out of ducks to give.

We don't need assertion or focus or anger or fun because these emotions create entertainment and entertainment is the product the Aquilinis have tried their very f***ing best to achieve by taking every imaginable shortcut known to the hockey world.

We take our medicine and we support our boys because they are feeling shittier than we are.

Also, this shit ain't new.

Petey's had a front row seat to this shit show since he first joined the team.

The absolute lack of cohesiveness between players is undeniable.

Team toughness and defense is non-existent.

But despite it all, the players dug deep in 2020 and made an amazing post-season run.

And then ownership took a diarrhea shit on all of their hard work and grit and professionalism and character by letting Marky and Tanev walk to Calgary.

Which wasted an entire partial COVID infested season.

And then tried to buy their forgiveness by pillaging Arizona for two new shiny toys.

All is not forgiven.

In the latest Vancast Drance revealed the probable reason for Pettersson's light ice time.

He said that in between the Boston and Montreal games, the only player out for a morning skate was Pettersson. Out with Green who skated him hard for 35 min or so. Pettersson putting in extra work, whenever is a good sign.

Petey is a hell of a Canuck.

Look I'm not here to say it's not good, it's definitely nice and helps a good cause, but in reality this isn't much for EP just looks like a lot because a lot of people don't make what he makes.

52 weeks in a year he makes about $141,000 per week a year, so he's donating about 1/3 of his weekly salary, that would be the same as someone who makes minimum wage $15 an hour and donating $200 1/3 of their weekly salary. Again it looks like a lot and is because a lot of people don't make that kind of money like him. Just interesting how he is now praised for this but the other random joe who donates $200 is barley recognized or not even mentioned if he does the same thing with his salary.

If Petey wasn't interested in being a Canuck, he wouldn't have contributed anything.

They would have asked, he would have said no way, and the headlines would have probably said JT Miller makes donation... blah blah blah.

It f***ing blows right now for everyone and when it blows, the last thing a person feels like doing is giving money away.

But he did.

actually it's actually a generous thing he did because I've never heard Trevor Linden, Naslund, Luongo, or any Canuck actually doing something as general as this, except for the Sedins who donated 1.5 million to children's hospital.

Hence why I said it's a nice thing he did, do you people not read? Regarding Naslund and Luongo not sure, but Linden almost lived at Canucks place for the children, he gave back to this city a lot hence why he was respected and liked so much throughout this city, he always gave back to the city of Vancouver.

Drancer suggested the skating was a designed distraction from over thinking the game....seemed to work as Petey's shot returned for our PP and the games first goal. He was clearly playing with more flow and moving his feet.

I still think the best course would be to trade him for an absolute haul if possible. Otherwise you can keep him but, I dont think his next contact will something we want on our books if he continues to just be a PP expert and we havent seen anything this year that proves otherwise. The league has figured him out and he hasnt figured out how to counter that partly because he physically isnt strong enough and partly because he always curls to the boards when getting pressured

IM sure a lot of the league still values him as a 1C and getting a Young top 4 D and a young top 6 F for him is definitely more important for the future of the team and give us Cap room to keep players like Podz and Hoglander plus probably one of Horvat/Miller while still having some cap flexibility

Improving this Dcore is the #1 priority

Trading him would be a colossal mistake and you guys suggesting it will all look very foolish.

How many people wanted to trade Hughes last year look at how foolish that looks now. People just need to have patience, he's shown he can be a 1C, and I have zero doubt he will get back to that level. His struggles haven't even eclipsed a year yet people need to relax. The Bubble was like 13 months ago and he's played 40 games since.

There were some horrific takes on QH in the off season (you know who you are?)...Would have been a colossal mistake to give up and trade the' 2nd pairing Tyson Barrie clone'...

As bad as EP has been this season, you don't give up on a player of this quality...Patience.

He doesn't create anything, like every single other player this year has had at least a goal or shift that's been dominant out of sheer will power and/or skill.

Pastor Of Muppetz, May 27, 2021 I don't think he will give up this years 1st round pick (although that 2nd could be used as a method to offload cap)...Next years 1st could go though..Possibly for a D man (somebody's going to have to step in to take Edlers minutes).

This is Bennings defining moment here..He's got one last kick at the can. (then I'll have to change my avatar..lol)

Pastor Of Muppetz, Jun 1, 2021 I agree with krutov here..Get some cheaper vet players on short term deals for this season..Keep the situation fluid..The last thing they need is to attach themselves to another big ass contract.

the last time he scored a even strength goal was his last game last season before missing the entire season.

So far he has 8 point power play points. 1 empty point. 3 even strength points in 22 games......

if he continues to struggle we won't go for.

Luongo donated all right, though instead of Children’s Hospital, his “donations” went to the Hard Rock Casino. ;)
