I don't like that comparison as they're not on the same planet. I'd take a Howe/Crosby/Forsberg/Fedorov cross section.

Not sure if I saw back in the days this topic or not, but seem like overthinking would Orr as a forward been good at hockey or not ?

This is not a Patrick Roy playing forward or Mario Lemieux in net type of question, seem like almost all transferable skills between the 2 positions, Howe growing up as a D or Orr growing up playing forward..... would have been good at it, seem a very safe bet.

Orr would've been a GREAT forward (he played forward when he was a young boy); and an even better defenseman.

Orr said in his book that he preferred playing D and being able to wind up with the play in front of him.

I think he would have been less effective as a forward to some degree
