Newhook should not be playing top 6 but he can be valuable 3rd liner. He was maybe the best forward tonight at getting the puck into the ozone and his speed causes lot of issues on the forecheck

He will be even more valuable if he can improve is defensive play

Some (John D’Amico, Shaun Starr, among others) have suggested fans were not booing Thompson but instead booing Lindgren as he stepped on the ice, as Habs’ fan are known to do with the team’s former players (KK more recently, but also Lafleur, Robinson, Savard et al.) If so, all’s good, if not, pretty disgusting.

Watched the game at the local hang and it was so funny when the camera had and older man wearing a Nordiques jersey hitting the glass with double middle fingers and you can see him screaming FU FU at the Washington player, fun game. Used to love playing playoff games,so intense.
