Because it take times too acknowledge something.
Who's having a better season right now?

It really doesn't though, and Caufield's goal scoring ability has been known since day 1. This isn't something new.

There's just more to hockey than being a midget, one dimensional winger. :dunno:

Maybe I should go around screaming about how Alex Debrincat is as valuable as Tkachuk because they produce similarly.

Who's better this year?????

You continue to be stuck on the marginal gap in their offensive production while refusing to acknowledge that there's more to hockey than offense.

... Which is funny considering how many times Montreal fans scream about Nick Suzuki's defense any time he's put underneath Tim Stutzle LMAO.

tell me where do you think Tkatchuk his better. Physically? Yes. After that? Better skating? No. Better playmaker? No. Better stickhandler? No. Better in the dzone? Not really. Better 5vs5? No. Tell me where? Just saying that Caufield is one dimensional show you didn't watched him this year

Going by the posts, just looks at hockeydb points columns, nothing else

Insists there's more than just offense and then cites skills that contribute mainly to... Offense.

Lmao, beats the crap out of your non existent stats, other than feelings 😂
Guess the truth hurts eh.

Your logic, cannot use advanced stats to compare players, that’s the funniest satire you’ve posted yet. You only said that because you got beat again.

Though your numerous flip flops and goalpost moving is right up there.

All you’ve posted is Cole is better,
why?,
reason: cause.

Cole is better because he simply destroy Tkatchuk. 30pts vs 18 pts at 5v5. Not even close. You can try to use advance stats all you want. The reality is there. I know it hurt since the sens arent going anywhere but it's ok. You can always use Stutzle injury has a excuse :sarcasm: you seem really good in that department

How is comparing offensive numbers for players who aren't on the same team any different?

Ottawa's embracing an identity around strong defensive play and that is shown in defensive metrics for players on the team. It has come at the cost of some offense but for a bunch of players labelled as defensive liabilities when they were scoring at higher rates, it's funny to see that improvement on the defensive side ignored.

It's also not like his on ice stats are being covered by strong goal tending. 5v5 the one-ice sv% is the same as the 2 prior seasons, it's that the SA/60 has gone from 30 SA/60 to 25 SA/60. On the other side Caulfield's on-ice metrics haven't shown much improvement. Goal totals are just inflated by a higher on-ice SH%.

I shit on the sens too , but why would we want to join a team full of bias fans that they their team is great when they actually suck? I've been doing that in Ottawa for years.

Perhaps if you were offering a Stanley cup winning team or even a playoff team, it would make sense.

Right now, it's two teams fanbases who haven't made the playoffs in years bickering about who sucks less.

Because the Habs are trending up.

We were at the bottom of the barrel for the last three years, and now can compete for a playoff spot. And this is even without the crown jewel of our prospect, who is going to play for us next year.

The Habs are going nowhere fast. At least the Sens have B. Tkachuk and Stützle. Montreal still has no star players, no size, and they’ve lost a lot of their grit in recent years

If those guys are "star players" then its dishonest to act like Suzuki isn't. Caufield, Slaf and hutson all have the potential to become "star" players.

Agreed. Suzuki was tied for 15th in points for Cs last year while playing for a bottom 5 team. However, there were several teams (TBL, VAN, EDM, FLA) with more than 1 C who were in the top 15. I'm not even counting Carolina because Guentzel played with them and Pitt. So, if Suzuki is not a #1 Center, does that mean that there are around 20 other teams that don't have a #1 C? Makes sense.....

I can't remember the last time Guentzel played Center, he's exclusively LW

You can't rely on NHL.com for listed positions

"Sens have the best talents Everywhere!"

Ok cool, how are the Habs and the Sens ex aequo right now then? How is it possible

You must be quite young, you don't remember the late 90's Rangers, for example? The following team finished the 96-97 season with a 38-34-10 record :

Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Niklas Sundstrom, Luc Robitaille, Alex Kovalev, Ulf Samuelsson, Bruce Driver, Alexander Karpovtsev, Jeff Beukeboom, Mike Richter... They even had Russ Courtnall and Esa Tikkanen as deadline acquisitions

The game is not played on paper

You got owned on the advance stats, all you have is hockeydb and feelings so far 🤣

None of them are anything more than supporting players.

The Habs have lost 6-2, 7-2, 8-2, and 9-2 at home this season. Great team over there

Yeah you had nothing remotly close to being valuable that you even added their blocked shoots like if that was meaningful and you're ignoring the fact that Cole completly destroy Brady on every offensive stats. You got nothing. Your superstar have 18pts 5v5. Pathetic :laugh:
