Interesting. I haven't watched him, but his GAA this year is better than his career average and his save percentage is right at his career average.

The numbers look good but when I watch him he just doesn't come across as the dominant goalie he was a few years ago. Just an opinion.

Not really since we drafted Demidov who is better than Michkov. Figure out next year as wingers we have Caufield, Slaf, Laine, Demidov, Heineman, Anderson and few others. We have a top 6 or top 9 with wingers. But the centerline is still a question mark. We need to be better at center. Dvorak is really bad and Evans is good but not overly good (and not signed yet). Beck is a question mark. If Michkov was a center I would agree. But there is his character issue and Michkov picked Flyers for 'his' reasons. I didn't want to come to Mtl and it is more than a gossip.

Which is good news, he's not as good as Vasi, but he has above average numbers (.903).

Hopefully Monty has a bounce back game. We need him to play like he did against Dallas.

I don't think he'll get overworked. I am arguing not splitting this up back to backs... but it's also about winning. And rightfully or not, I feel that Dobes gives Habs a better chance at this moment. If he starts faltering, it's a very easy decision but for now, right the hot hand... Who knows how long habs will be able to sustain this winning pace.

If we want to somewhere this year in PO, we need better than Dvorak. Is it Beck, Kapanen or someone we get by a trade, I don't know but Dvorak is one of the passenger in that team. Everybody else move their body but not Dvo. He doesn't even a good % in FO and it was supposed to be his specialty.

But my point to the other poster was we don't really need Michkov with the quality of wingers we have if Demidov comes next season. And one day people will realise Reinbacher is an excellent D.

We were alternating Primeau and Allen for so long I’m pretty stoked about the goalie situation…

I am a fan of icing the best chance to win every shift but I trust the org here, he’s so green… Like Waite said on l’Antichambre, just make sure he gets a game a week I figure. Build his confidence, train him hard… It’s cool he won his first home start.

Goalies are weird and maybe he could play most games left, maybe it’s a bit much... I’m hoping he takes the net in the playoffs and runs.

Bleep Vasi and Bleep the Lightning and Bleep the talent advantage they have. They pushed pretty hard to stay in that game so hopefully they will run out of gas at one point. Don't count on it though. You can bet Detroit will get Vasi as well in their next back to back. Not a bad strategy.

This is what I was talking about when I mentioned Montembault hasn't played games in the NHL with this much on the line. This is where the pressure of being in the mix can take you off your game. Hopefully he shows he can handle it.

Vasilevski has not been good against toronto and Habs beat Johansson in December. That is probably then reason they started Johansson tonight.
