Don't understand the lineup tonight

Pacioretty-Drouin-Gallagher
Galchenyuk-de la Rose-McCarron
Byron-Mitchell-Shaw
Carr-Holland-Terry

Mete-Weber
Davidson-Streit
Morrow-Gélinas

????

I guess they will change Galchenyuk on another line...

Update...

The montreal canadiens are the only team left to not win a single game in the preseason. Can they go for the 0-6 sweep? :sarcasm:

If they can't beat the Leafs tonight with the team they have brought with them, it's going to be a long ****ing year for us. Looking at the Leafs board, looks like they have brought their B team with no real NHLers

If Galchenyuk is the player that most people think he is, then it doesn't really matter who he plays with and should have an impact on the game anyways.

Sure, but attaching him to a boat anchor like McCarron and the offensively limited penalty machine Shawsy is not doing him any favors.

Galchenyuk playing with other players means that he will most likely not play with Danault. They are trying to find someone to play with him it seems.

Mitchell seems to be on the way out. Since Julien came, he even scratched him in the playoffs.

Davidson has another chance to prove he belongs in the NHL but he's playing with Gelinas...

Maybe being on a line with two guys that show some effort most of the time will wake him up? You never know who you'll have chemistry with unless you give it a try

I doubt they're trying to see what AG can do with McCarron. More likely they're trying to see what McCarron can do centering decent players.

YES McCarron finally at center with some freaking talent. I've been asking for him to center Gallagher all camp but this will do. Hopefully it lights a fire under his butt. Excited to see this line as well as Drou

aside from the top pairing that defense is...ugh

I love it.

Remember when Therrien played McCarron over Galchenyuk at centre in 15-16 for a few games only to finally put Chuck at centre and he exploded offensively?

Now he's in preseason on the left wing being centred by McCarron because something something Julien knows best.

Lines should be

Patches - Drouin - Gallagher
Carr - Galchenyuk - McCarron
DLR - Holland - Shaw
Terry - Mitchell - Froese

i see this team wants to see Chucky fail

Yep. Definatley in their best interest to see him fail. Now replace galchenyuk with hudon, hudon would make those players better. Can galchenyuk do the same?

Shawsy might actually be a good fit. He's a third liner yes but as much as he annoys me he can actually drive possession.

McCarron, well, at least they are showing patience with one guy.

How so? That 1st line looks awesome
And Galchenyuk is playing with arguably the 2 better players in the rest of the lineup for tonight's game.

I love how every decision they make is to see Alex fail, but we never see Alex step up and be the player we all thought he would.

I would like to see that personally, show us what you can do and elevate McCaron's game for a change.

Boring line-up again tonight.
Looks like CJ simply want to get out of camp without burning up his NHLer or suffer any kind of injuries.
But i would agree, 8 games in 2 weeks is a lot of hockey for nothing
