Mooseheads alumni Nico Hischier.

At least Scherbak is getting some better line-mates tonight. Think he should play where Gallagher is, doe.

Nah. That first line is a thing and we should give them all the time possible in the preseason to get their chemistry down.

Scherbak is destined for the A and then the K.

That first line is awful and should be abandoned immediately. Danault-Gallagher might make sense, but Galchenyuk does not.

Neither Danault or Gallagher are particularly good passers.

But what are the benefits of having Scherbak with those two when he has no chance of making the team. Then you put Chucky with Audette who has no chance of making the team....very counterproductive imo.

There's always a game or two before the season starts where your lines will be what they will be for the season.

It's to get a look at young players in different roles, giving them opportunities to win a spot, or what happens if Gallagher goes down with an injury? It's important to take one out of the thousand pre-season games to give some young players some chances to see where they fit.

Based on what I've seen so far, I'd like to see this on opening night:

Pacioretty-Drouin-Lehkonen
Hudon-Plekanec-Galchenyuk
Byron-Danault-Gallagher
DLR-Mitchell-Shaw/Hemsky

Then you do something like

X - Galchenyuk - Gallagher

I don't mind those lines. I wouldn't have DLR in the starting lineup though.

I'd like that too. But I doubt they are putting AG on RW given that they haven't even tried him there. I also have doubts that it's even that good an idea. Wingers play all over the place in the offensive zone anyway and he'll have an easier time exiting the dzone on his natural wing.

I like those lines. I'd still swap Hemsky with Byron though.

it's interesting they're evaluating Waked with Carr, Mac with Martinsen and Scherbak with Byron. It's almost as if CJ has a plan or something.

Not sure what Price was thinking when it came to picking his equipment this year. It's as awful as our offense.
