Tribute habs turnaround tribute

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The 4th line contribution in the december, january push.
George Laracque when he pressured on MSL to start coaching or Gerard Gallant would come over for coffee
Anderson playing injured, straight up +5 to all stats but -10 to brake.
Primeau not here to throw games away
Barron free
Matheson free PP

1 Gorton / KH vision, clarity, culture building & patient/timely asset management
2 MSL's coaching & culture building
3 Suzuki / Caufield leadership & consistency
4 Hutson's historical rookie season
5 top to bottom buy in of the players, in particular the vets whom have fully embraced their roles (largely diminished)

Not so much a turn around as a very methodically planned and executed rebuild that is largely unfolding as intended (including the buffers for inevitable injury and inconsistent youth performance).

Habs are who (a small minority of us) we thought they were.

Future is bright 😎
(& The present is getting more and more enjoyable as we go)

Luck.

Reading the main board, Laine's goals are not counting and Hutson is trash cause he's not scoring. Caufield is small and doesn't play defense, Slaf is a bust and Monty is the worst starter of the league.

Marty-Don't think many other coaches would have lasted through the last few seasons. He has shown a lot of patience which has helped young players take steps forward.

Health-For the most part, they haven't been buried by injuries. That has helped Laval this season as well, not having to lose their best players to the big team all the time.

Other teams, especially in the division-a number of teams have taken a step back. i,e Bruins, Rangers

Patrik Laine's arrival in December is the biggest reason.

Hutson's emergence has been quite the sight as well.

4 principal factors have contributed to the in the mix

1. Carrier acquisition
2. Laine powerplay prowess
3. Dobes 5 game win streak
4. Hutson powerplay
please rank the factors

1. Hutson powerplay
2. Laine powerplay prowess (the two first kind of go together)
3. Carrier acquisition
4. Dobes 5 game win streak

When i look to Habs results, i cant see any significant turnaround.

October , first half November - Bad
then OK
Middle of December till middle of January - Good
Then again Bad
And Now - Good

If those 2 x "Bads" were "OK" or if one of them was a "Good" then we would be solidly in PO position.

Barron for Carrier was such a good move by Hughes, no idea what Trotz was doing but that trade was the catalyst to taking a step forward.
